Dok has made great strides in his FT shooting since conference play began.

Since January 1st, he's gone 26/47 for 55.3%.

Compare that to his Nov-Dec percentage: 14/44 for 31.8%

Overall his season average has climbed up to 44%.

At KU, he's gone 37.9% as a freshman, 41.3% as a sophomore, and 34.4% as a junior. Career he's at 41%.

Final fun fact, aside from a 3/9 effort @Texas, he's been 50% or better every other game in 2020.

I'm going to keep tracking this as I think we can officially call an end to the era of Dok being an absolute liability from the line. While 55% isn't anything to brag about, it actually puts him ahead of Enaruna (50%) and Silvio (52%), and not out of reach of Garrett (65%). Admittedly, this isn't an even comparison (Dok's 2nd half stats vs. others' full season), but it's great to see him walk up to the line and knock 'em down, if only for the agita it causes the opposing coach to realize that yet another method to stop him has dissolved.

Range finding is now the biggest variable for him when at the line.

In the past he missed all over the place because of his poor form.

With his improved form this season, his misses are either long or short, but to my eye have all been on line and nicely arced. If he can just get more consistent on the tiny amount of his strength needed to send the ball the right distance...

Agreed. Previously, Dok's FTs could wind up anywhere. The band was scared to death, and even folks at the concession stand had to have their heads on a swivel.

Most are online now and draw iron. Much safer for everyone, and they go in fairly frequently. :D
