Agreed. Completely uncalled for. It is really a terrible display of sportsmanship.

Very embarrassing. No place for this and now we will have all the pundits talking about it for days. And Game Day is in town on Saturday.

Yikes! Horrible!

Bruce Webber was classy in the postgame presser taking responsibility for his guy not backing off and not losing with class.

Waiting to hear from Self.

Self: "That was an embarrassment and is not the way our players should act. We told the players how disappointed we are in them. There will be consequences announced tomorrow. "

"I will place no blame on Gordon, nor on Desouza for his block on the shot. What happened after that is a different story. "

Let the investigations ensue, but I hope plenty of responsibility will be assigned to both teams. Stealing then going for a dunk real unsportsmanlike. DeSousa shouldn’t have stood over the player, but wasn’t he then cold cocked by some KSU staff, starting a brawl. Picking up the chair was bad.... ugh

I initially thought the same about the guy in street clothes, but he is actually a KSU player named James Love who is apparently out for the year due to injury. Looked pretty healthy to me tonight.

And up to and including Silvio taunting the guy -- which would have yielded the unsportsmanlike conduct T, Silvio's ejection and the free throws even before considering the ensuing melee -- there really was little to talk about until (1) the KSU players already on the court and then the bench players (e.g., James Love) came after Silvio, and (2) the KU bench emptied in response.

Just grateful Coach Jerrance Howard got a hand on the stool and got Silvio to put it down.

Some of the espn analysis after felt that the player in green clothes was a major issue as p,Ayers, in the moment, would have no idea who that was and why they were getting involved. They seemed to see blame on both sides...looming over the KSU player, then the fighting starting they thought be KSU, etc. interesting to see how each team handles this.
