My sis and I are dedicated, nothing-gets-in-the-way of KU basketball, fans. Those traits don't qualify us as experts, but we both had the same idea about the end of the game: Villanova kept up the defensive pressure the entire game. We have played few teams who made it so difficult for us to get up a shot/run our plays. Fatigue could account for our making uncharacteristic mistakes near the end of the game.
I tend to agree with you on fatigue being a factor...particularly with DD. Obviously there's no way to truly know, but I feel fatigue is what prevented him from being more aggressive in contesting the three by Samuels with 20 seconds left. He sort of just loosely reached to put his hand up. He's also been playing 35+ min every game oo that probably plays a factor as well.
I agree with all who think it looked as though fatigue was a factor at the end of the game, but I can't help but remember the EXTRA effort at the end of Dayton that got us through . . . .
Well, water under the bridge and all, let's get it together for Stanford and the new year. There's a BIG XII Championship waiting for us (and more!).
