Personally I've shut the door on hope for Silvio... but it is NOT locked yet.

It really is total BS. I really don't understand why they'd be so harsh to a kid who didn't even know anything was going on. It's not a real good way to start out a young life. "Hey we know you didn't do anything wrong but we are going to severely penalize you!" I have tried to let it go and wrap my head around the whole situation but I just can't. It's given me an extremely bad taste in my mouth for the NCAA. Seems totally unjust...especially when Arizona lost Ayton for what one game? Oh well it is what it is. Poor Silvio...

Having seen similar behavior in other fields, I suspect the answer is to prevent future shenanigans by being extra harsh

Let me reemphasize that NO DECISION HAS BEEN MADE YET.
The report is simply a statement of the pessimism of the KUAD.
The appeal could still be approved in Silvio’s favor.
