in most recent bill simmons podcast he hints very clearly that self on the verge of being named pop’s replacement. wld be very surprised given recent pronouncements but since then bill has failed to land a couple key recruits so not out of the question. fingers crossed irs just more noise.

Just read an ESPN article about the Spurs post elimination status. Nothing indicating that Pop won't be around.

I always thought this was the NBA gig HCBS would be most apt to consider.

Smith makes a pretty good counter-argument to Self taking the Spurs gig this year or even in the future.

Where is this all even coming from? I just read that Pop is signing a three year extension. Self isn't leaving for at least another three years in my opinion.

Stirring the pot.....sadly. I’m sure his sources were 99% positive, they saw Bill Self with the Spurs owner, having breakfast yesterday in a private club in San Antonio....or maybe (even better) Lawrence. OOPS, maybe not?
