Thanks Hoshi!!
With all due respect to KU bball -- and a LOT is due -- I find debate to be a more impressive competition for our esteemed institution, albeit not nearly as lucrative.
Perhaps we should start getting "Final Four Debate" shirts?

Thanks Hoshi. Very interesting and impressive. Story says of the 78 teams qualified, 3 were from KU. Also of note, all but one student (5 of 6) was from Kansas.

I truly loved and enjoyed teaching at KU for 45 years. I met so many incredible young men and women. I miss the interaction with the students. I don’t miss setting and grading exam and faculty meetings.
The academic support system for athletes run by Paul Buskirk is one of the best in the country. Have you noticed how the public speaking ability of nearly all our BB players (LV excluded) improved over their stay at KU? It is not an accident. Almost 100% of our student athletes graduate. While this year was a relatively down year in BB, there are about 340 schools who wished they had our record even for this year.
I for one enjoy seeing kids grow into men and women we can all be proud of. Sports as well as just students.

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." - Mark Twain "Innocents Abroad"
KU Debate honored for top rankings this season and over past 20 years
The lads and lasses have been doing KU proud for quite a while now!
Well done, ladies and gentlemen of the debate crews!
Rock Chalk Jayhawks!
