As good as they can be they were way more lucky than good today. UCF had them. Did anyone else question the foul on Tacko against Williamson? I'd like to see it again but it looked like Tacko was set and Willamson plowed into him.

Last year we were charmed, taking them out on our way to the Final Four.

Ticky, tacky foul on Tacko?

I was in a restaurant.....at the end the ENTIRE restaurant was cheering UCF and groaned in unison when Puke won.

One of my dinner companions said....”No one likes Duke, except it’s graduates.”

We were in the car, and my son had on the gamecast on ESPN. At the 2-minute mark, it looked good for UCF. I told my son "Watch, Duke will get a pivotal call to swing the game late." Sure enough, down goes their key player with a 5th foul on the pivotal play. And then he's not there to grab the defensive rebound on Zion's missed free throw, resulting in Puke getting an offensive putback.

The Blue Devils are the New England Patriots of college hoops. They all too often get nice favors at crucial times from the zebras.

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”

No doubt, there was a vested interest in keeping Zion and Duke in the tourney. Don't mean to be a conspiracy theorist or incredulous concerning the impartiality of the refs but it's hard to believe the powers that be wouldn't do all they could to keep Zion and Duke in the tourney.

I have looked at it a couple times, looks to me like Williamson clearly bull rushed Tacko, put his shoulder squarely into Tacko's chest and knocked him down. I am sure if the roles had been reversed, Williamson would not have gotten the fowl. I think it is a Duke thing, they always get the benefit of the all doubts. Probably just me.

No it’s not.
You are not alone in your perception.

I hate Duke as much as the next guy. That said, UCF had plenty of opportunities to seal this game. They just didn't get some roles their way. Prior to the Tacko foul out, Williamson, in my opinion, committed an offensive foul on the guy guarding him.

But I feel the more critical play was getting that breakaway play and missing the dunk that could have put them up even further. Instead UCF missed the dunk which allowed Duke to hit a three.

It was a heck of a game and UCF just couldn't pull it off.
