So KU played 22 games against teams in the tourney this year. That is absolutely amazing! Wofford, who I heard was scary good, we beat down 72-47 and that was with Dok playing just 4 minutes and Vick was a no show. We beat New Mexico St without Azubuike and again, Vick was a no show. This team is young, went through a ton of stuff this year and have no real post season experience. In fact, I don't think any of the players playing have even been in a tournament game. This is going to be a wild ride. I don't know, maybe I'm looking through things with my KU colored glasses but I have a sneaking suspicion they are going to be just fine. They definitely have potential so lets hold on to our lug nuts...it's time for some March Madness for our Kansas Jayhawks!

I should add that Lightfoot has tourney experience. That's it from what I can see.

Boy, I hope you're right. But, I've not seen a team like KU so mismatched to play a four guard game with an opponent that relies on threes.

We just don't have the offensive firepower to fight back against a hot shooting team. And we have never figured out how to pressure the three point shooter. ISU toyed with us and got open look after open look. If they had made even a few more of their wide open shots the game would have been ugly, or uglier.

With the proliferation of the three point shot in today's game, I'm really surprised that we don't have even one sniper from 3 that we can count on.

Well word on the street was that Grimes was awesome from outside. Self probably thought he'd have Newman an extra year too. Add in Vick and that's three great shooters from outside. Charlie Moore is better than he's shot it as well. I would say I agree that ISU missed some shots that they should have or could have made but I still think our defense is decent. Anyway it's a total crap shoot from here. We'll have to see what happens.
