we beat a good team tonight with great coaching and lots of gritty play. lightfoot was the difference maker but grimes rewarded his coach’s confidence with a team high 36 minutes and was huge at both ends. weber of course is wound up and didnt help his team stay loose. none of this should be a surprise to those of us who have watched carefully the last 14 years. i cant imagine why this coach and team wouldnt always have our benefit of a doubt, not because we are fans but because we have consistently seen this coach always make the right adjustments and trust the right players. so the probability models (including asteroids) and most of the experts predict a 13-5 three way tie. the games have to played of course but that feels right to me tho im much more worried abt tech winning out than ksu. rock chalk

Concur, big g.

On that narrow point HE our winning out is obvi essential. Ksu is playing very tight and wade clearly not healthy so can see them losing twice more. Tech on the other hand is playing their best basketball but do have 4 games left vs our three with two of those on the road at tough places to win. If they win all 4 then that will be a 9 game win streak to close out the season (last loss being to us). That seems impossible to me so i think tcu or isu is a loss, isu espec if they need it after seeing us win. All idle speculation of course

IMHO, you hit the nail on the head big g. Wade was hurt in the Texas game (Feb 12th) - the last I heard, he hadn't practiced since - same with Stokes (toe). Plus, they lost their 6th man & substitute pg (Cartier Diarra) just before the Texas game. Wade has been playing, but is a shell of his former self.
Meanwhile, Tech is healthy and playing very well. Their game this Sat at TCU will tell a lot. ISU played well at home last night, so is still hope they will beat TT Mar 9th.
