That was a great win and the streak is still alive! I figured there would be more people going crazy on this board. Come on now! We can't give up on these guys. They have been through a ton this year! Say we will they are still very much alive!!!

Never have given up on them. Yes it was a great win. They did everything they didn’t do on Saturday. I’m very glad for them and what they may yet achieve! Rock Chalk!

I'm very thankful for this excellent win! How horrible would have been to have been swept by the Kittens. We're now 16-0 at home and still have a shot at keeping the streak alive. Good to see Grimes play well. Dedric was named Player of the Game but I would be tempted to give it to Mitch. Mitch has really stepped up. Love the kid's passion.

My wife and I thought the same about Mitch. So fun to watch him!

DL got the points, but ML was the fire...

The biggest difference in this game was Mitch and Devon on defense. Devon shut down a leading contender for Big 12 player of the year. Mitch was just a defensive dynamo.

How about that ovation he got when he left the game near the end?! He deserved every bit of it. And I agree about Grimes bringing the game we've been waiting for. What a fun time! We never relinquished the lead once we got it, which was a really nice surprise.

DL had another double double and had 5 assists. The reality is still that we won this game on the defensive end. When you hold the first place team to less than 50 points you did not give away transition points and you played great defense. As has been noted above ML was a big reason for that.

I will be jubilant if on Mar 9th, KU has something to play for (other than AFH streak, last home game streak, Senior Day (with or without any seniors), & pride). That will require getting two wins in Oklahoma (which IMHO, is very iffy). Also likely will need help from teams playing TT.
For me, the difference between last night's win and the loss in Manhattan comes down to a few things: home court, Garrett playing last night and Diarra not - the reverse was true in Manhattan. In Manhattan, Diarra played 20 min, 11 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds, 2 steal. Last night, Garrett played 27 min, 6 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals.
One other observation - in Manhattan the fouls were KU 23, KSU 15. Last night - KSU 17, KU 8. Lightfoot played aggressively for 31 minutes and had two fouls. A lot of games he has two fouls when he walks on the court. Just an observation.

Count me among the jubilant! I came on the board after the game and expected to see some posts and didn't. I was tempted to post but chose to wait. Thanks for getting this started. I will admit that my jubilance is guarded at this point for all of the reasons stated above. There's too much that has to happen to make me too excited, yet. If we are in it down to the last game, that will stir me.
