We should have a good indicator of which Jayhawks show up after about the first 5 minutes. When we lost at ISU we were down 3-6 after 5 minutes. @ Kentucky we were down 4-6. @ Texas we were down 5-6.

On Saturday we were up 10-2.

One outlier was @WVU when we were up 9-8, but we really lost that game in the last 2 minutes.

Granted this is very limited data and probably doesn't tell anywhere near the whole story, but on Saturday it looked like we actually came out swinging, whereas all too often this season it almost looks like we missed the alarm clock telling us it was time for the game.

If you buy into the "win your home games and win half on the road" math to get a ring, we've lost 3 of our 9 road games, leaving us only 1.5 road games left to lose. This year, we might have a little extra leeway since everything is so tight, but K-State their second home loss of the year would be a big step in the right direction.

Fingers crossed, but I think we'll know which squad showed up within the first few minutes, and if we certainly need the version from Saturday to be there if we hope to get out of there with a W.

agree on knowing early...three starting freshmen against three good to very good seniors. tough one tonight, but if they can hold their own early with the crowd and experience against them, maybe, just maybe, they can surprise me with a W. Fingers crossed!

Exactly the start I was dreading. Clueless defense. Looks like neither Grimes nor Vick were ready to play.

Hope they turn things around, but this is going to be a struggle.
