jsut looked at the schedule and standings and as we all know, we are currently tied atop the Big 12 at 5-2 along with KSU. KSU is on a 5 game winning streak.

Baylor is on a 3 game winning streak and is sitting at 4-2. TT and ISU are one game back at 4-3.

The good news is we are done with ISU. The bad news is that we have 2 games each with TT and KSU plus one more against Baylor.

It is critical we start each of those pairing with KSU and TT on a win to put pressure on them.TT plays us at home first, so that should bode better for us. We have to go to KSU for the first game. That could be the key game in this next stretch of 5 games or so. We have to, in my opinion, get that road win at KSU.

Just win, baby!

Note that only us and TCU are still undefeated at home. Home losses REALLY hurt in the league and we have yet to make that mistake, whereas ISU, KSU, Baylor and Tech all have.

Like we say every year: if you can win your home games and win half of your road games, you'll get a ring. Right now we're on schedule with home games, but behind on the road.

I'm kind of relieved that Saturday's game at UK is essentially a meaningless exhibition game. Sure, it might have some bearing on NCAA seeding, but as of my last check we're the #1 team in SOS in Sagarin, so we can't get accused of a cupcake schedule. Further, with the conference being so tough this year, whoever wins the thing should be a #1 seed no matter what.

One game at a time. Hoping that the long delay between conf games will give guys like Grimes and Garrett time to improve, and possibly give us time to get Silvio back. The former is a must, the latter is a hopeful wish.

Agree re: tomorrow's game. I'd like to see Self use the game as a true exhibition game and give some of the bench more playing time with different rotations, and hopefully limit the number of minutes our starters play. Tuesday at Texas is a very important road game to start back up conference play esp after how close they played us at home.
