seeing a KU team play such poor defense. Grimes, Vick, even Garrett turning their heads to watch the ball and losing their man. And coming down on defense and leaving one guy totally unguarded...several times. Won;t even mention the offense and all the turnovers. And missed free throws. This team can not hit a jump shot.. sorry, said I wouldn't mention the offense. .this must be driving Self crazy.

I can't speak for HCBS, but it's driving me crazy!!!

really, a truly horrible defensive performance. so many wide open three's and easy baskets. this team right now is a mess.

A Legendary college sports head coach said "you are never as bad as you look when you lose and you are never as good as you look when you win." This team is really not a bad defensive team but they are a very offensively challenged team. I am a Legerald Vick fan but he is not a guy that can drive an offense. Hopefully we can get things figured out.

Agree on the coach's saying. But, although I root for him, Vick is sadly exactly who I thought he would be this year. His early barrage of 3's was fool's gold. He now apparently feels he can/or should take them even early in the shot clock with increasingly weak results. And the rest of his game continues to test anyone's patience. He either completely disappears or commits way too many turnovers or plays weak defense. Sometimes all three. At this stage of his college career he should be a much better and more consistent player. Doesn't bode well for what is beginning to look like a limited team that he's not.

Agree on Vick. His early success has made him overconfident and make him think that crappy shots are ok to take because he can't miss. Nevertheless, he CAN miss, and taking crappy shots is always bad (even if they do go in).

I do think that Self gave him a green light, but at this point, I'd assume that green light has been shut off. I hope Vick gets it together, but I'm equally hopeful that Grimes and some of the other guys ramp things up so that we don't have to rely on Vick.
