Thanks to all who have participated. It is encouraging to see that all the Jayhawks are loved and every player seems to have someone who favors them. There are only winners when it comes to favorite Jayhawks since they are all loved.
12 players had at least 4 votes. This is certainly not a scientific polling but we had to get down to a manageable number of players to hone in on the top 5. We will do 5 more polls, each picking a top 5 player. All 12 players will be in the polling for the first round. The remaining 11 will be in the 2nd round, likewise down to the 5th round with the remaining 8.
As an interesting side note, as I mentioned in 16 seasons, Self has recruited 85 players to the Jayhawks. In 15 seasons, Roy recruited only 42. Some of that has to do with Self using more walk-ons. Another reason is the one-and-dones. Another reason is the increased number of transfers more recently. But the biggest reason is that players stayed longer in days gone by.
