The latest ESPN draft projections has 4 KU players in the top 100 prospects.
Quentin Grimes has fallen to 30th which is the last pick in the 1st round. I am mixed. On the one hand I always like seeing our guys with big opportunities. But I am also hoping to see him as a sophomore at KU.
Dedric Lawson is 41st. He has not moved even though he has put up big numbers. His game is more suited for college. For him to improve his stock he would need to show he can shoot with accuracy from the arc.
Udoka Azubuike is still getting no love by draft pundits. He is at 73 which would put him out of the draft. I sure hope he has the sense to stay for his senior year.
LaGerald Vick is a little surprisingly on the board at 91. Vick is going to have to show a lot more toughness to catch on with an NBA team.
I would love to see everybody back next year. Add in Ochai Abaji and you have the makings of a decent team even with no real incoming freshmen stars.
