Don't worry about the mules, just load the wagon!!
We held Wofford to 0.681 points per possession last night. The last time we held a team to less was 6 seasons ago when we had that great defensive team. We did it three times that season. We have only done better 23 times under Self and most of those were against very weak teams. Wofford is a good team. This was one of the best defensive efforts for any KU team under Self. I hope this is a sign of things to come. BTW, it was also the worst offensive efficiency of the season at 1.04 points per minute which is still not at all bad.

In all honesty, Wofford missed some wide open shots...

They missed shots, but some of that is due to the fact that they never got into a rhythm or any confidence going. So even if it's an open shot, you're not shooting smoothly. Kind of like the tight end who drops a pass over the middle because he's hearing footsteps and is anticipating a hit.
Not saying that's 100% of it, but when you take guys out of their flow, they're going to make more unforced errors. In the same way, it goes the other way when a guy gets hot...confidence allows totally ridiculous shots to somehow fall.
