On Monday, KU appeared in their 183 straight AP poll. That is the third best streak in history. Only Duke (200 straight from 11/12/1996-2/6/2007) and UCLA (221 from 11/29/1966-1/8/1980) have been in more straight polls. To be fair to UCLA, back when the streak started the poll was only the top 10. It switched to the top 20 at the beginning of the 1968-69 season. It went to the top 25 at the beginning of the 1989-90 season. Yet another stat of amazing consistency for Coach Self.
