Lightfoot continues to give solid minutes. KU actually scored at the best rate in the 12.5 minutes he was in the game.
Azubuike was a benefactor (or cause) of the best defensive stretch of the season when we held Marquette scoreless for the first 9:15 of the 2nd half. Azuibuike only played 15.1 minutes but Marquette scored only 14 points in that time. On the flip side, Marquette went crazy with Moore in the game scoring 2.9 points per minute, or three times as much as when Udoka was in the game.
Garrett had a very nice game but the plus-minus has him about neutral as far as how KU did with him in the game and on the bench. We had 4 players that were very critical (Vick, D. Lawson, Dotson and Azubuike and 2 that were apparent liabilities (Grimes and Moore). As always, the plus minus is a great stat but far from perfect on any given player in any given game.
