I'm sure some will disagree. Personally I'm done with the LJW. I don't know what it is but they just seem to be searching (hoping) to find some kind of scandal with KU. Has some stuff surfaced that we have concerns with, sure. To me though I'd expect a bit of innocent until proven guilty. But man every time I go to their site it seems they have some disparaging article and several of them appear to be pure speculation. So alas, I deleted them as a favorite and I'll just come here for news and go to kuathletics.com. I'm done...

Yeah, this latest thing about KU not disclosing details that they want about the Adidas contract extension seems pretty contrived. Kind of like the bush league reporters who will spin a "no comment" as some kind of admission of guilt.

They need to be careful too. I'm sure some of these guys establish pretty good relationships with the staff. Burn some bridges and suddenly the "scoops" will go to the Topeka or KC papers.

I hear ya, NotO, but right now it’s not the sports staff writing this stuff, it’s the editor in Chief Chad Lawhorn. Being a real jerk about it, too. Just me thinking out loud, worth everything ya paid for it (wait, did I get paid?!?), But I think he’s trying to find his inner Woodward or Bernstein, and he’s thinking this might be his big story.

Still just might make things tougher for the sports staff, though — although truthfully Keegan can sure do that all by his lonesome.
