Most of you probably follow recruiting more than me but since I finally bit the bullet and signed up for ESPN+ I thought I would take a look at the recruiting. If you take the top 20 players at every position you will see that 61 have committed and 39 have not. KU has exactly zero commitments from those 100 players. I’m sure we are in the hunt for some but it worries me that none have committed. it is hard to predict how many scholarships we will need to fill. These young players are transferring leaving in unpredictable ways. I have read some scuttlebut that KU is getting talked down by other Coaches because of the money stuff with Adidas, etc. As I said, I have never really followed recruiting so my frame of reference is limited, but it seems that if almost 2/3rds of the top 100 players are committed and KU has no one, things are not going well.
