I'm actually happy with that. Garrett's good and can be REALLY good if he can develop his outside shooting. The thing I like best about him is that he appears to be 100% bought in on Self's system. He played hard defense and did all the little things to EARN his playing time as a freshman. I'm not gong to hang a Frank/Devonte tag on him, but I could see him a.) sticking for 4 years and b.) being REALLY good as a senior.

I think the 3 spot starting position could more of a toss up than Tait says. In fact, I would give KJ the nod right now. There are parts of Garrett's game I absolutely love and there are parts don't like so much. Mostly the don't like is shooting. Either way I see Garrett and KJ getting significant minutes. If Silvio comes back, it seems that Lightfoot should redshirt. We don't really need him and he needs to continue to bulk up and work on his ball-handling skills. I still think Lightfoot should be at the three but he would need to be a better ball handler and spot up shooter. Ochai could be a real wildcard. If Cremo comes and is all he looks to be Ochai should probably redshirt as well. I have this hunch that Ochai could be the next Frank Mason. A fifth year Ochai may be a player of the year candidate.
