Update: Dok and Preston also got invites upping the total to 5. Vick is listed as an alternate, so if some guys decide not to go, he could get a slot and up the total to 6.

On the other hand, if you're not on the initial invite list, that sends a pretty solid message that you're not considered to be among the top 70 or so guys, which means your chances of getting picked up aren't so great. Another case of finding a way to stay in school.

As I recall, LaGerald tested the waters w/o an agent. But maybe, in his mind, getting paid to play somewhere in the “NBA farm system” is better than staying in school.

Dunno.

Wheaty, Mama Vick has said he is not coming back, they were just not rushing into getting an agent.

Only EE I expect to see back is Dok, simply because if he can improve his glaring weaknesses he will go from late 2nd round prospect 2018 to lottery pick 2019.

Wheaty is getting old and forgetful. Totally spaced out Mama Vick's pronouncement. Thanks, HE!

I HATE to be selfish, but.......

I REALLY would like Dok back next year!

We really need Dok back next year and I think the chances are very good. The NBA has become a shooters league. A big guy that cannot shoot is not high on anyone’s list. Dok has grown in the post but he needs another solid year (and then some) to be NBA ready. But as much as he is not quite ready for the league, he is on the cusp of being dominant in college. Dok needs to;

1. Develop a 1 setup or 2 step post move to over either shoulder
2. Learn to rebound better
3. Learn to shoot FT’s consistently above 50% (or 60%)
4. Develop a face-up jumper from 8 feet and in.

Devonte’ was the heart and soul of this past team but Dok was the anchor. A front court of Dedric, Udoka, David, Silvio, KJ and Mitch would be unbelievable.

Don't worry about the mules, just load the wagon!!
