Now that the the pain of loss has subsided (eased by the drubbing of Michigan by Villanova), it time to start thinking about next year. Nice article by Tait, on a summary of the "Way Too Early Top 10" for next year showing the "experts" like our chances. Much of this is based on who stays and who goes
Here's my guess.
1. Devonte and Svi both get drafted in the second round and stick.
2. Newman, Vick and Udoka decide to test the water by declaring for the draft and not hiring an agent. Newman stays in and is drafted late first round or early second round and sticks. Vick and Udoka decide the water's too deep (and looks shallower next year) and decide to come back.
3. Cunliffe wants to play, reads the tea leafs, and transfers once again.
4. Romero Langford decides to replace Newman and play for a national championship.
5. Lightfoot reads the tea leafs and decides to red-shirt. (maybe Garrett too)
6. We start a five of Dotson, Grimes and Langford, D. Lawson and Udoka backed up by Moore, Vick and KJ Lawson in the backcourt and De Souza and McCormack in the frontcourt. Not too shabby
No wonder so many are picking the Jayhawks as number one, but can a team of green guards and beastly bigs beat a Villanova losing only Mikal Bridges????? Should be intersting.

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." - Mark Twain "Innocents Abroad"
I will be amazed if Brunson stays for year 4. He graduates this spring after 3 years, has 2 NCs to his name, and pending Wooden announcement on Friday will be everyone’s NPOY, and rightly so.
Stay at Nova for a grad degree and a shot at a third NC, or go pro when his stock is as high as it most likely ever will be?
Go pro.
And don’t be surprised if Spellman or any others join him.

If he does go, it apparently will be without guaranteed first round money, but then, so will Malik.
