Say what you will about how the Hawks played, good or bad, but for me it was the most dominating display of phenomenal basketball I've seen. Nova has my utmost respect, and I like their program. Can't find a way to dislike them like KY, Duke and UNC.
Nova smacked us in the mouth in the first two minutes, and never let up. Their shooting was pure, and they dominated in every facet of the game.
Beyond making shots, their defense was perfect. Trade twos for threes. Leave Garrett as the only option, and so wide open he bit, and airballed both shots. Let Vick handle the ball and take a few shots in the lane. He can't take over any game and they knew it. Take Svi completely out of the game and dare Graham and Newman to carry the load. Despite their lack of height, they protected the rim like they had two seven footers.
Just every facet of the game they were prepared, and they executed to perfection.
Well done Nova. Great season Hawks. Onward.
