The drive up to Omaha took 3 hours. The Century Link Center was easy to get to off I-29. If attending get your lunch at the Carvery, one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. Meet my daughter and son-in-law. Both big KU fans but did not attend KU (Grinnell College, Iowa). Both all league athletes in VB and football, respectively.
Had nose bleed seats but surrounded by KU fans. After sending a photograph of the court to my brother-in-law, Dare, he asked me whether I needed a Sherpa. My response was yes, and an oxygen tank.
The stadium was nice and definitely pro-KU but lots of Duke fans in attendance. My guess is that it will be pretty close to even in numbers on Sunday. Clemson was well represented not so much Syracuse.
Not much to add that has not already been said about the game. I usually do not complain about the refs but they were bad with some crazy calls and non-calls.
Thought KU might have tried to slow down the game to help with fatigue for the next game but it almost backfired.
Driving back Sunday the E8 game.
