to Bill Self for accepting the challenge. (And a tip of the cap to Missouri for its 2000 decision to hire Quinn Snyder instead of Bill Self. I’m not sure Bill would have made an in-conference move in 2003 if mOO had hired him from Tulsa in 2000. So he ended up at Illinois instead, and the rest, as they say, is history).
Bill, we really hope you’ll be at KU another 15 years before doing your Cowboy bit and riding off into the sunset.
