I don't know how to link it, but look on KUsports.com for an interview with Billy Preston. Wow.
He made two comments that for me summed up his time at KU.
1. He said Coach Self was the best choice for him. Under Self he could wins games and get to the NBA, which was his main goal.
2. He assumed his fame as a big recruit would carry over to Europe. He learned that no one had heard of him there and he didn't get favorable treatment. I'm paraphrasing here, but that's how I took his comments.
I honestly think he would have been another Carlton Bragg. Big reputation and no delivery on the court. I'll put my faith in Dok, Lightfoot and DeSousa.
