He’s playing very well tonight. Some major moves in the paint. I feel comfortable in saying that almost all of Mitch’s minutes at the 5 this year would have been Dwight’s if he had stayed.

Watching Coleby and I’m convinced we would have won at least 3 more games this year if he had not graduate transferred after last season. Not a knock on Mitch, who has been playing his heart out while out of position all year. Just a recognition of Dwight’s ability at the 5. Rebounding, blocking shots, scoring — he would have been huge for KU this season. He averaged almost 11 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks per game (27.4 minutes per game) for WKY this season.

Seems moral to the story is, if they don't get to play here, they go elsewhere. Can't exactly blame them.

True, JR, and how was Dwight to know he’d have the opportunity this year?

If he had played like this KU might have played 2 bigs. Either way, he looks pretty tough against a team that beat KU twice.

Agree with HE.
Had he stayed, he presumably would have been behind Dok and Preston. There was no way to predict the Preston fiasco.
On the other hand, if Preston hadn't happened, we DeSousa would still be playing high school ball.
Can't blame Coleby for leaving but I really wish he hadn't.
