... will be played on Wednesday, March 28 in Atlanta at Philips Arena, and shown on ESPN2 at 8 PM CT.

Rosters include 3 (maybe 4) KU recruits
EAST - David McCormack and the undecided Romero Langford*
WEST - Quentin Grimes and Devon Dotson

*Langford is waiting until mid-April to make his commitment decision.

The gurus at 247Sports are staring into their crystal balls and predicting that Indiana (42%) and Vanderbilt (42%) are the favorites for the Rivals #6 ranked shooting guard from New Albany, Indiana, with KANSAS clocking in at just an 11% probability.

But here's the question they are not addressing -- why is he waiting?

Both Indiana and Vanderbilt's rosters are pretty well set, with no projected early departures.
Both programs are done playing for this season
Langford has played his last high school game.

So why the wait if IU and Vandy truly are the favorites? What else does he need to know?

Maybe he just likes the attention?

Or maybe he is waiting to see if there will be a scholarship available for him at KANSAS before deciding?
To see whom among the usual suspects of Dok, Vick and Graham will leave early?

Even though high schoolers often ignore logic, the latter answer is the best logical answer, and an encouraging one for KANSAS fans.

Since behavioral analysis would suggest that KANSAS is actually the favorite, the only question is will there be space for him?
Which means that the gurus really should be looking at the likelihood of KU losing at least 2 more players to make the needed scholarship space for the already committed Ochai Agbaji and the addition of Langford.

Speaking for myself, if the KANSAS options were to have 5 star freshman known for being a scorer-but-not-so-much-a-defender Langford or a junior Malik Newman playing all season as he has played this March and providing upperclassmen leadership for a bunch of new faces, I'd rather have the improved and proven Newman, thank you. But should Malik leave, as is the behind the scenes storyline, then ROMEO LANGFORD... COME TO KANSAS!
