a fourth of the Sweet Sixteen is from the Big-12. It really was a tough league. There was a reason we had so many close games in the league. KU's record against the Sweet Sixteen is, I think, 10-1 (only loss to Texas Tech early). Long way to go, but KU belongs. And nice to see the bugaboos happened to other #1's, but not us.

I was excited about that too mtn. Bad news...the nasty ole ACC has 4 as well. Syracuse and FSU. Thanks Xavier, thanks Sparty!

And your 2018 Sweet 16 teams are...

Big XII: KU, KSU, TT, WVU (4)
ACC: Duke, Clemson, FSU, Syracuse (4)
B1G: Michigan, Purdue (2)
SEC: UK, TAMU (2)
Big East: Villanova
MVC: Loyola-Chicago
MW: Nevada
WCC: Gonzaga

ACC
Midwest has three of the ACC teams, so only 1 can possibly make the FF.
FSU is in the South region, so two ACC teams could meet in the NC game.

B1G
Could see both teams make the NC game.

SEC
TAMU and UK could meet in the FF national semifinals.

Big XII
If things played out, KU, KSU and the winner of TT/WVU could all end up in the FF.
KU could meet TT/WVU in the NSF.
KU and KSU could meet in the NC game.

I would actually love to see the Big XII finally live up to its “best conference” computer and media rankings.

I think we all would love to beat KSU in the NC... but be really concerned about the chance the kitties could scratch out a title.

But as much as we would love it, can you picture the TV and Madison Avenue types freaking out over 3 Big XII teams in the FF, and an all-Big XII — worse yet, all state of Kansas — title game?

It really would be cool to see that 3/4 final four, but I’m not all that confident about play hard chart Bruce beating the squid. I also had the Zags playing our beloved Hawks in the final game, but after watching A&M play tonite...not so sure. Those guys are bad a$$es. Now on our side of the bracket I see Huggy sending “all galaxy” Nova back to the Big East hole in the ground they crawled out of. Purdue just isnt the same without their T-Rex so I see an all Big 12 regional final there. In our region, as long as we can beat Clemson our game against Puke might be one of the best in the tourney. In other words, Jimmy B....only pack one shirt. What a fun weekend and next weekend should be too.
