Some random thoughts on yesterday...

What a day. The first ever number 1 goes down and not in a close fashion. They were flat out beat! I watched the whole game and it was entertaining from start to finish. While I feel for the UVA kids, I am just glad it wasn't KU. Happy for the UMBC kids as well.

And how about the UVA coach. Truly a class act in calling it like it was. He really impressed me with his complete praise for UMBC and making no excuses or belittling it by talking about their poor play. UVA panicked early on and took one poor shot after another when they were down.

I was flipping through the games and saw Moo getting crushed. I thought I would enjoy it, but once again I am reminded at just how irrelevant they have become. I felt absolutely nothing in their loss.

KU now has a very relevant reminder that you have to play your best for every game going forward. Let's hope they are focused after yesterday.

I would love to see Newman reignited with Vick slashing along the baseline. I would love to see Dok give us solid and effective minutes on the floor and Svi and Graham light it up.
