How does OU even get close to a tourney bid

Other than just getting Trae Young some air time, OU has no business being in the tourney. They absolutely collapsed and lost a ton of games over the past month. They certainly aren't peaking and overcoming a slow start. They're the opposite.

I hate to admit this about 1. Any Big 12 team and 2. A team KU lost to, but this is Ben Simmons LSU. One NBA ready freak and a bunch of JAGs. But if OU gets in and OSU does not we will all know. It will be clear to anyone that this whole dog and pony show is not being run by the schools but by the “Association”. That could happen today.

agreed. Despite our last blowout of OSU, I would much rather face OU than OSU. A radio show had a guy on yesterday who has been part of the selection process in years past. He denied emphatically that the committee looks at showcasing stars over putting in more deserving "teams". I don't buy that at all.

7-12 in 2018. Haven't won outside of Norman in 2018 (note, Norman is NOT....I repeat NOT....a tournament site this year). 2-8 over the last 10.
OSU beat us twice, won at WVU and split the series with TTech. One game better than OU (8-11) since January. 5-5 over the last 10.
If "who's been playing better lately" is even a consideration, OSU has a legitimate beef with the committee.

He's only saying what every knowledgeable college hoops fan is saying.
And even Sooner fans would agree with him, because he's not questioning OU being in, he's questioning OSU *not* being in since OU is in.
But he is saying it from his bully pulpit, and I applaud him for that.
I will note, however, that his reasoning does also imply that OU does not belong in the field, and I so agree.
All the SC did was set the Big 12 up for another first round loss..
And if URI's Dan Hurley has half the coaching ability of his HS HOF dad, URI will shut down Trae Trey and force the rest of OU to beat them, if they can. And I don't think the rest of OU can.
Man, I want OSU to win the NIT!
And over Baylor in the NC game.
Make it an all-Big 12 party!
