Newman... His three point shot is a thing of beauty wen he is on and he has been on. It hardly moves the net.
Defending the screen... Anyone notice that when we would come out and set a screen WV would bump the person setting the screen into the dribbler. Kind of an interesting way to disrupt the play.
Newman... he has been actively crashing the passing lanes and anticipating the pass. Very nice
Whining. WV whines about calls all the time and talk back to the officials. Haven't seen that much whining since... well.. Moo. Not a favorable comparison
To those who were saying how this team was dead. That Coach Self was faltering. That without Dok we had no chance. Well you were wrong, to say the least.
KU needs Newman to continue his play and focus. Assuming that Graham plays as consistently as he has and that everyone else is playing on a good to high level, Newman will be the key. Dok back, Silvio playing like he belongs, Svi hitting at a decent rate, Vick having he moments, and D playing as a unit and the sky is the limit for this team.

I can admit that I was one of the doubters. In both of the losses to OSU we looked un-atheletic and did not show we had a scorer besides Graham. The most worrying thing to me was we did not get rebounds. I am very happy to be wrong in this. I was really impressed with the way the hawks played this last week and as you said if they can keep that up the sky is the limit.

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”
1936 inscription on the portrait of Dr. Naismith, displayed above Phog Allen's office desk at KU.
Nobody foresaw the sudden emergence of DeSousa, perfectly timed on the eve of the tourney.
That has transformed the prospects for the Jayhawks in the eyes of this KU fan, and I suspect millions more.
I went from relatively bear-ish to cautiously bullish after seeing Silvio blast through the learning curve wall this weekend. (Reason: Suddenly and unexpectedly, we have very beefy and athletic depth inside, and no need to hit the panic button every time Dok picks up a foul or gets gassed. And if we now all know and feel that, imagine the confidence and reassurance now felt by the TEAM itself.)
Fingers crossed...

I think as important as that is the serious scoring threat that Malik has become
