In my opinion the play of the game was when KSU cut the lead to 2 and then the left Marcus Garret open for 2nd strait wide open 3, which he took and missed. He then stole the ball while KSU was pausing under their basket and got the layup to push the lead back to 4. I thought that was big at the time.

Yep. KU took off from there and brought it on home.

Especially key for Marcus to make such a recovery. Great job on his part.

Good call hairy. I’ve been a Garret fan all year. That play did kinda personify his season I thought.

He made a few very nice plays today. When he learns to shoot well he will be very good. He is a very good defender.

I thought you were going to name a different play. Specifically, the one where Graham accidentally knocked Brown out of the game.

Marcus is a solid defender, has good vision and handle, and a solid driver. Only weakness is shooting outside of 10 feet, and until today he had done really well from outside in something like his last 10 games.

He is going to be a great 4 year man.

Harry, Matt Tait and others agree with you:

PS: check out the freshman's cogent critique of the team's effort tonight. Kind of funny, almost, coming from the youngster, but it's a great sign of leadership and the will to win that bodes well for his and KU's future.

Agree completely on Marcus' post game comments. In order to sound smart I will also agree with HCBS on DG. He really needs to play better than he has the first 2 games of the tourney. He has always been a good shooter and 1 of 6 from 3 is not going to cut it. I hope all the awards have not been too much of a distraction for him.

Word is that DG has been battling a bug but is on the mend...let's hope that's correct and he back at full speed today
