Watching WVU @tu

Texas has a 1 point lead with 4:55 to go, but it should be much more. Only thing worse than Smart’s coaching has been the terrible officiating. WVU should have twice as many fouls, but refs are continually failing to call stuff right in front of them. One time Carter gave his man a two handed shove in the back, the two of them alone just outside the arc, the ref right there with an unobstructed view of the action, and no call!

Just sick watching the travesty.

And then again, maybe Smart’s coaching is worse. Calls a timeout to set up his D with 6.9 to go and Jevon Carter still goes full court to shred the D and send the game to OT. Final Texas time-out with 1.8 left and they still can’t do anything to win in regulation.

And the refs just upped the ante granting a timeout to Carter when he did not have control of the ball. Jump call would have given ball to tu.

Despite its ineptitude on the floor and on the bench, Texas survives in OT 87-79 and strengthens its claim to a ticket to The Dance. A big plus for them in another way as well, since they won without big man Mo Bamba, who may be back for the B12T next week against OkSt.
