Rock Chalk, Sherron! Congratulations and thanks for the memories!
A tribute by Jason King, reminding us that college athletics can be so much more than just about a game.
"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." - Mark Twain "Innocents Abroad"

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”
1936 inscription on the portrait of Dr. Naismith, displayed above Phog Allen's office desk at KU.
Great stuff.
Sherron gave every fiber of his being to KU, and both the place and the experience infiltrated him (as it does most whom it touches). Quite the collegiate career, earning a national championship as a key bench contributor and then getting your jersey hung in the rafters at AFH. I wish him well in life...
