34 times in 35 years.
In the 35 years since Monte Johnson brought Larry Brown on board to right the ship, our Jayhawks have only failed to reach the 20 win mark once, in Roy's 19-12 first season.
And if KU had not been declared ineligible for postseason play by the NCAA, odds are that Roy would have earned at least one more W that first season.
That season is also the only break in KU reaching the NCAA tournament since the hiring of Brown for the 1983-84 season.
This year will mark the 29th straight time KU dances, and the 34th time in those 35 years.
I saw one 20 win season (1980-81, 24-8
) and NCAA appearance (Sweet Sixteen) when I was a student.
Man, are we spoiled. And glad for it.
