team looks slow...and tired...and sluggish...again. February doldrums? Or is this a thin team that is running low on petrol?

Might be a little of both. They seem to be thinking too much and not just playing.

Without Dok , there isn't much inside threat. Seems like ball floats around the perimeter, and each player has a go at beating his man, not the type of O we're used to seeing from the Hawks. Give TCU credit, they are coming out on the 3 pt shooters, haven't seen Svi have an open look from outside yet.

Didn't look any better with Dok in there. When they threw it to him, four guys stood around and watched. this team isn't getting any better. it's just surviving...barely.

and not playing decent defense at all. their guards get their shoulders by our guys at will.

Newman should be a better defender, imo. In fact his whole game is kind of confusing. All last year you could hear how he was the best shooter on the team in practice, and now he has the chance to show it, and his performance has been wanting. Perhaps its easy to be the best shooter on the floor, when your points dont really count? He seems to think he is a "scorer", and puts up quite a few ill advised shots, not within the flow of the offense. Enough of the rant on Newman, as he's just one of the problems. Possibly, I was just expecting more of a complete game from him, and my expectations were far to high?
