Updated DPPI and Big 12 Probability

AFter Monday's games, KU has remained in 8th in the DPPI. Through Sunday we are 5th in the Massey Computer composite of 49 computer rankings. Either way we are a 2 seed at present. We are continuing to improve and I still have hope we could be a 1 seed. It will take a lot to unseat Duke and Michigan St. from that 4th No. 1 seed. (Purdue, Virginia and Villanova appear to have 3 No. 1 seeds locked up) More importantly, we have put some distance in the probabilities of winning the Big 12 between ourselves and the other guys. We now have a 64% probability of winning at least a share of the Big 12 and a 42% probability of winning outright. What a Big 12 race this is turning out to be. Still 4 games to go in round 9 tonight and tomorrow. Those results will move this probability one way or another. But the win last night was huge. On paper it was the 7th toughest game in the Big 12 schedule but I think this is one where the paper is wrong. We have now played (on paper) the 2, 3, 4, 5. 7 and 8th toughest games in the Big 12 schedule. We only have the 1, 6 and 9th toughest games left. KU seems to be trending upward.
