Kruger just had the guts and desperation to do it. Hack a Dok will win a game.
If we substituted for Dok, they wouldn't have fouled so there is no guarantee that would have been any better. You have to hope he hits a few of those, but hoping doesn't get it done.
Not really frustrated with the loss, because I think it is clear that we were the better team. Just a shame that we couldn't have broken a bit away from WV with a win there

That for me was the most frustrating part. It wasn’t like we could avoid passing him the ball. Kruger got away with it and they got the W. Interested to see if Doke’s form is changed on Saturday.

and all the more reason Self should have gotten him out of there. Think this will give Dok any confidence going forward? Not a chance. Really, really dumb.

feel bad for us and doke to lose it that way but truth is devonte cldnt make a shot, 4 for 19, 1for 9 from three. that will happen with the minutes hes playing. but if he knocks down two more of those threes we win on the road against a good team. doke actually got us back in the game early in the second half or we wldnt have been in position to win at the end. as to self i am sure hes playing the long game and absolutely counting on this making doke better in the future. same with de souza, 3 turnovers leading to 6 points. we have to play him so hes ready down the line and we have to play doke at crunch time so he doesnt lose confidence. coach had a game to give so to speak. he took it in the interest of the longer term and of course we still could have won.
