"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." - Mark Twain "Innocents Abroad"
Hoping for the best for KU!

I sure wish we could have played TxT in Lubbock first They will have the stadium behind them when we get there. But I guess if we can win in Morgantown, We can win anywhere, right?

It is final and Texas has defeated TT 67-58. No game is easy in the Big XII

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”
1936 inscription on the portrait of Dr. Naismith, displayed above Phog Allen's office desk at KU.
Lubbock in no way, shape or form can match the intensity of Morgantown. Even Manhattan and Stillwater (and perhaps Ames) are tougher traditional arenas to contend with for the Hawks.
I'm not chalking it up as a road win, by any stretch, just noting that it ain't those other hostile venues (which have earned their hostility badges over time).

Not sure Sherron and the Morrises would whole heartedly agree with that. Granted, some dude named Voskuil won’t be there when we go this year. Just sayin...

Minor anomalous blips compared with the consistent fervor in the other venues.
(Colloquial translation: Even a blind squirrel occasionally finds a nut.)
We won't be intimidated there. We might lose, but we won't be intimidated. And revenge will also be on our minds.

I was present several years ago when Wiggins picked up a muff from Embid and dropped it in to avoid a court storming just waiting to happen. It was terrifying for us Hawk fans in attendance. I can't say it was anything like the other tough venues, but the students were waiting at the very end KU was shooting, anxious to mob their guys ... it was a SWEEEEEEET victory, for sure!
