We succumb to the baiting of WVU. We let Konate get in our heads instead of playing better team basketball. We need to do a much better job of staying focused on winning the basketball game and not let them get in our head.

When the game is not at WVU we are more likely to get the foul call when their guy hits our player in the face instead of our player getting called for the technical foul. The WVU style of fouling, or as they would say playing real physical in every match-up is hard for most basketball fans to watch. It is a lot like the Pistons of the 80s. They drag you down to wrestling and beat you with experience. They are used to that style where as most teams are not. I think they have trouble in the NCAA tournament because they rely on the refs let them make it a wrestling match rather than a basketball game 6 games in a row.

I also do not respect a "collage" coach who has had extended stints at a school with a 0 percent graduation rate. His track record gives me the impression he does not want kids that would want to go to class.

I had to quit when Mr Bilas whom I usually do not find offensive whent on about how the WVU player who threw a punch at at the TTU fan should not have faced consequences for that. I am not condoning court storming but the players do not have any right to punch people on the court unless they are being attacked which was obviously not the case.

I was confused by what Bilas said. It sounded like he was saying when a fan comes on the court he is open game for a player. I didn’t really study the video and I am inclined to give a player the benefit of the doubt. But regardless, Bilas logic was confusing.

Don't worry about the mules, just load the wagon!!

I couldn't agree more, Hairy. If a KU player ever hit a fan, regardless of how provoked he was, we'd be roasted right and left.

No player has the right to throw a punch against a fan unless in clear self-defense, which was not the case with the WVU player.

Very dumb and highly provocative (in a bad way) comment by Bilas there.

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”

1936 inscription on the portrait of Dr. Naismith, displayed above Phog Allen's office desk at KU.
