We might have 30 TO’s at this rate. Our defense is strong but Devon Carter and Kanate are killing us. That and we look like a bunch of junior high players against their press. We are not up to their press thus far. I hope we get some ball handling prowess soon.

This group of Jayhawks is tough to watch when they get punched they look like they want to cry and wilt. How did Self recruit such a bunch of softies?

These Big 12 teams want our blood and we have to be tougher than anyone because we get everyone’s best shot. This team does not respond to that. Devonte’ may be the exception.

WHen you get punched you are supposed to get tighter on defense more aggressive on offense, mean and hungry on the boards. This team does not do that. They get more reluctant on offense, more scared on defense and just the same on the boards. Get tough boys. I know it is in you somewhere.

De Sousa looked decent. Gave nice minutes. Poor Garrett simply has no shooting ability. Vick is trying to bring something. If you knew no better you would think this is a top 10 team against a non NCAA tourney team. They are better in every way at this point. We finally calmed down and quit turning the ball over. We still look frightened of Konate at the rim. Malik Newman is a better shooter than Garrett but not by much. Did Svi play that half. Oh yah, he got stuffed three times at the rim. Actually Svi did some nice things but we looked anemic at the rim.

After 5 blocks at the rim, KU ought to get the message - only Dok goes at Konate.

This KU team is simply not as good, as big, or as deep as WVU. They are tough or they wouldn't have won the last few games, all of which were very close. They simply don't have enough talent, size or depth this year. It will probably get worse in the second half, but that may in large part be due to fatigue, not lack of toughness.

Might be a reason or two for that. Add to that the only emotion we have shown all game gets rewarded with one of the weakest technicals I’ve ever seen. All of those blocked shots there was a pass option I believe, we need to utilize that and quit worrying about saving face. I also thought DeSousa showed some nice moves and toughness as well.

I would agree with that the players are trying very hard.
