It's never a given that we'll win, no matter how lop-sided the record is. K-State proved they are not afraid of The Phog, the crowd, Bill Self, or the KU players.
However, my opinion is that we just let up any time we had a decent lead, and K-State was quick to take advantage.
Whatever happened to following your shot or waiting until there are rebounders under the basket before shooting? (If time allows, that is.) Also, as Greg Gurley said, we began to settle for the three instead of working the ball inside more.
Nevertheless, I stood up and yelled for joy when our one point lead gave us the win, and Graham looked as happy as I was!

This team IMHO has a problem with relaxing slightly once they get over a 2 possession lead. The league and NCAA basketball in general is too competitive to get away with that. I hope the Hawks find a way to correct that. I am very impressed with Mr Graham. I know Malik was only 1 of 3 from 3 but those free throws at the end were clutch. I thought he played good defense and was under control on offense. I wonder what the KSU player said after they blocked Malik's layup to earn the T.

They might HAVE to relax a little with leads to pace themselves to be able to play the whole game and to be energetic add the end of the game.

That is a very good point. Hopefully our subs will come around before the end of conference play.

Never thought of that! Good reasoning.
