Updated Big 12 Probabilities

The 4 contenders all won game 1. Texas Tech was at home but had the biggest statement win due to beating a ranked team by 24 points. That vaulted Texas Tech to 6th in my DPPI. Kansas moved up to 8th and Oklahoma remained at 11. But Texas Tech's dominant win has catapulted them to the odds on favorite to win the Big 12 championship. OU looks awfully scary mostly because of Trae Young. It really looks like a 4 team race at this point. Texas Tech is now projected to win 13.9 games. Kansas has moved to 2nd and is projected to win 12.7 games with Oklahoma in 3rd projected to win 12.5 games. Believe it or not, based on my DPPI, Kansas is the underdog for the Super Tuesday game against Texas Tech in Allen Fieldhouse. Texas Tech is a 2.5 point favorite with a 60% probability of winning. A win Tuesday will be huge for the Jayhawks. But then again, every game from here on out is huge.

Having updated all Saturday games here are the final Game 1 standings. With a win on Tuesday KU will gain 1 game on Texas Tech plus whatever impact from the change in rankings. Almost certainly a win will move Kansas to No.1 in the probability standings.
