Texas Tech Favored to Win Big 12 -- Kansas 2nd

Based on my DPPI and using my mental toughness adjustment, Texas Tech has a 27.3% probability of winning the Big 12 outright and a 42.1% probability of at least a tie. Kansas is 2nd with a 16.9% probability of winning outright and a 29.1% probability of at least a tie. This is about as close as any season I can remember. Texas Tech is projected to win the Big 12 with 12 victories.

Hopefully this will be like last year where I think going into the Big XII conference race we were not looking like number 1 in both Asteroid's and your predictions. I think it was WVU last year who was number 1. Hopefully we can show great improvement between now and the 29th.

You are correct. Last season KU entered Big 12 play with a 6% probability of an outright championship and a 12% probability of a shared championship. West Virginia was the strong favorite with an 82/92% probability. But KU amazed on the back of Frank Mason and won 16 games while initially we were projected to win 13 games. KU absolutely dominated last season. Let's hope they can repeat.
