Not sure which is worse: Malik's play or the fact that he got a concussion.
Seriously, I like the kid, but in any other year where we've got normal bench depth, he'd be riding a lot of pine. He continues to make bad decision, bad shot selection, bad passes, ugh. It got to a point yesterday where I didn't want him anywhere near the ball.
Svi was also disappointing. At one point he was 0-9 and I was cringing every time he put a shot up. I still believe that he's not a set-shot kind of guy. Needs to get the ball and shoot while in motion.
The biggest thing I'm seeing is that this team, with only 7 players has ZERO margin of error. Forget injuries or foul trouble....if any one of our players isn't playing to at least 90% of their potential, we're extremely vulnerable because there's nobody to bring in to replace them. Any other year, Newman would have found himself on the bench for much of the game.
I almost started sounding like the old Jerry Sinefeld bit where they'd angrily say "Newman!" when that character did something to ruin their day.
