RKCKJHK!!!
I was a little surprised Svi’s numers weren’t worse. Those 4 TOs in the second half were U-G-L-Y! He looked like the lone 8th grader in a varsity pickup game.

"When I was a freshman, I remember Coach Naismith telling us how important it was to play good defense." - Mitch Lightfoot
That's shocking. Newman, to my eyes, was a liability out there. Not great on D, questionable passing, bad shot selection.
Of the starters, here's my assessment based solely on my eyes and no data
Dok: Not bad but not particularly good. Ok on offense, so-so on defense. Biggest criticism: I'm seeing a trend of making a dumb foul and then compounding it by playing timidly afterward. Dok: start by not making dumb fouls, but if you do, keep playing smart.
Vick: hot and cold. Seems to play well in spurts and then disappear at times. Potentially the best player on the team, needs to stay focused for the full 40 minutes.
Graham: I really don't have any issues with Graham. I'm going to break my own rule of not comparing him to Frank: the ONE minor thing I think Graham can do is borrow some of Frank's leadership intensity. Under Frank, if you screwed up, Frank would let you know. I don't think Graham has that same kind of fear/respect thing happening. Nevertheless, I trust Devonte as the leader on the floor.
Svi: yuck. It got to a point yesterday where I was begging him NOT to shoot. The TOs at the end didn't help. I'd summarize his game as this: couldn't hit anything early and when the pressure was on, and his shot started falling, he went out and found a different way to hurt us. Really bad game.
Newman: Not ready for primetime. I was cringing every touched the ball in the 2nd half. Folded like a cheap suit under pressure. All the potential in the world, but there's no doubt that he's a freshman.
