I think we need to give ASU some credit. They played well. They shot lights out from deep and if we came out to guard them they drove and either made the layup or got the foul call. We had trouble holding onto the ball and we did not match their intensity.
Totally agree with hairy. ASU is a pretty good team. For a team that doesn’t really “press” their guards are tenacious on D. They made Svi look silly. Add to that some serious outside shooting and terrible shooting from KU and you get todays result.
Hawks didn’t not play poorly on offense, minute TO’s and ASU played well. All that aside, this is AFH and every player, coach and fan should take this L as an insult. ASU is no MCBB powerhouse, their guards are nothing special, their coach played for Satan and wasn’t why they won, the problem is the Hawks didn’t bring it. Coach will fix it, this is my hope.
