“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”
1936 inscription on the portrait of Dr. Naismith, displayed above Phog Allen's office desk at KU.
Nice win. Much to like, much to dislike. But anytime you beat Kentucky it's a huge win. Congrats to the team and let's get Preston in the fold, then work on the flaws.

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." - Mark Twain "Innocents Abroad"
Any win over kenyucky is to be savored, even if the savoring is limited to sucking the blood from our bleeding lips after a fugly game.
Formula for a great week this week --
Tuesday night: tie Roy at 418 KU wins by beating kenyucky
Wednesday 6:30 PM: learn that next target Rivals #11 Quentin Grimes picks and signs with KU on the last day of the early signing period
Friday night: Bill passes Roy for second winningest KU coach in history with a KU win over SDakotaSt in AFH.
Yep, that would be one sweet week!

That is a great week.
I thought both teams competed hard though it was not very pretty. I hope DG can get his shooting touch back. Hopefully he can smile some more and that can release his best play.

"When I was a freshman, I remember Coach Naismith telling us how important it was to play good defense." - Mitch Lightfoot
I like HE's schedule ideas. Count me in. Beating Kentucky is always sweet. Sweeter still is knowing that after lackluster showings against weak opponents and then losing in prime time to KU, there are thousands of UK fans having a bad day.
No, I'm not a nice person.
